Reconnect the Disconnection

Welcome

I’m Jamie Marloo Thomas, an Aboriginal Australian from the Gunnai and Maara peoples in South West Victoria and Far East Victoria.

Aboriginal Australians are the world’s oldest, continuing culture dating back over 80,000 years ago!

We have an oral culture so all of our knowledge has been shared from one generation to the next with my Elders passing on their wisdom to me of the importance of earth connection – not only for our own wellbeing but also for the planet’s.

It’s a simple equation, we can’t be well if Mother Earth isn’t.

But even as an Aboriginal Australian, I found myself caught up in the modern, fast-paced lifestyle. I would go out to the bush and practice sacred cultural ceremonies but then return to the city and disconnect through retail therapy, drinking too much and making unhealthy food choices. I wasn’t walking in the footsteps of my Ancestors…I was very unwell and unhappy.

I knew that I needed to make a change in my life so I sat with my Elders and on Country, listening to the voice inside of me of 1000 generations of my Ancestors who Lived Life Well.

I started ReConnecting to the ancient wisdom I knew, but this time, I not only thought about it, I also actioned it…. creating an earth connection movement and meditation practice. I called it Wayapa and had it certified as an accredited modality with the International Institute for Complementary Therapists.

Wayapa is more than a wellness practice, it is a lifestyle that creates Earth Mind Body Spirit Well-being.

This Course is an introduction to living the Wayapa Lifestyle.

So it’s time to let Wayapa Wuurrk for you and let’s get started!
