The problem
Most of us are busier and more connected than any generation before us; and somehow still feel like something's missing.
You might notice it as restlessness. A habit you can't quite shake. A sense that the wellness routines you've tried — the apps, the subscriptions, the self-help — help for a moment, then fade. That's not a personal failing. It's a symptom of something bigger.
For over 100,000 years, Australian Aboriginal people lived in an unbroken relationship with Country — not as a lifestyle choice, but as the foundation of health, clarity, and belonging. Somewhere along the way, most of the world lost access to that thread.
It hasn't disappeared. It's been waiting for an entry point back to it.
The solution
Begin With Earth: Wayapa Foundations, your entry point into a sacred Earth mindfulness practice
At its heart, Wayapa Wuurrk rests on one idea: you can't separate your own wellbeing from the health of the Earth beneath you. Care for one, and you start to heal the other.
Across 7 modules of movement, story, and reflection, you'll be guided through the 14 Sacred Elements — not as ideas to learn, but as a practice you feel in your body. By the end, the goal isn't that you understand Wayapa. It's that you live it.
No matter your background, fitness, or prior experience — this is where that relationship begins.
+ reconnection
+ gentle movement
+ meaning & belonging
Who it’s for
You'll likely feel at home here if you’re…
Feeling disconnected from your life, your surroundings, or something you can't quite name
Wanting an Earth-centred approach to wellbeing that goes deeper than an app or a routine
A beginner looking for a gentle, accessible practice — no experience or fitness level required
Curious about Indigenous-led approaches to connection, wherever you're starting from
Seeking meaning, belonging, or a clearer sense of place in the world
Considering the practitioner pathway one day, and wanting to start with the right foundation
You don't need any prior experience, any particular background, or any spiritual framework already in place. You just need to be ready to show up.
Two ways to take this journey
However far you want to go, this course stands complete on its own.
1. Just for the practice
Complete all 7 self-paced modules (earth connection, cultural learning, and personal reflection) entirely in your own time. This is a complete experience on its own. Nothing further is expected. Nothing is missing if you stop here.
2. Toward practitioner certification
Complete the same 7 modules as your foundation stage. Then join Jamie Marloo Thomas for just 3 days of training — in person or live online — down from the traditional 7, to complete your facilitation training, assessment, and IICT certification.
Same depth, either way. The certification path is simply here when (and if) you want it.
From our founder
“I believe that we are all Earth people, some are just more disconnected than others. As a descendant of the Original Custodians, it is my responsibility to share my connection to the Earth as my Ancestors did and teach others how to respect and care for her, to heal her and let her heal us. So that is why I created Wayapa®”
~ Jamie Marloo Thomas, Wayapa Wuurrk® Creator
The modules
Take the course at your own pace. Real depth, not a checklist.
Seven self-paced modules that move you from your first introduction to Earth connection through to a deeper personal practice — with cultural foundations and facilitation skills available in the later modules, for anyone who wants to take it further.
-
Module 1
The Wound of Disconnection & the Ancient Way Back
Begin with honesty about the disconnection that shapes modern life. Explore the origins of Wayapa Wuurrk, its Earth-Mind-Body-Spirit philosophy, and why Jamie created this practice in 1993. Meet the 14 Sacred Elements for the first time and experience your first Wayapa movement sequence.
-
Module 2
A Living Web of Ecological Intelligence
Deepen your relationship with all 14 Sacred Elements as living presences — Creator, Sun, Moon, Earth, Lightning, Rain, Wind, Tree, Air Animal, Land Animal, Water Animal, Hunter, Gatherer, and Child. This is where the practice begins to truly live in your body.
-
Module 3
Bringing the Elements Into Your Body
Move through each Element with greater depth — embodying them through movement, reflection, and personal connection. This module invites you inward: to explore your own relationship with Country, your ancestry, and the landscapes that have shaped you.
-
Module 4
Meeting Each Element as a Living Relation
An interactive, immersive journey through all 14 Sacred Elements, one by one, as living relations rather than concepts. Choose three personal Elements to carry into deeper daily practice.
-
Module 5
Integration, Stewardship & Your Path Forward
Bring Wayapa into your daily life — household, workplace, community. Practise the Notice-Honour-Respond framework. Complete your Community Engagement & Integrity Plan, ready for the Practitioner Pathway ahead.
-
Module 6
Bringing Your Whole Self into Wayapa Facilitation
For those stepping into facilitation: what it means to share Wayapa Wuurrk with cultural integrity and a decolonised approach — storytelling, voice, presence, and holding space without hierarchy.
-
Module 7
Sharing This Practice With the World
Learn to facilitate a full 60-minute Wayapa Wuurrk Wuurrkshop, from preparation to closing. Graduate equipped and confident to share Wayapa with your community.
